Follow These Steps to Install or Upgrade Windows:
Decide which version of windows you want to install and have the product key for that particular version. You can get the product key from the sticker on your computer or in an email from Microsoft if you have purchased the key digitally.
Go to the website of Microsoft and download the windows installation media. Select whether you want to download the 32-bit or 64-bit version, depending on your computer’s hardware.
- Create a DVD from the windows installation media.
- Put this DVD in your system and restart it.
- Press the key (usually, these are F12, F10, or Esc, depending on your computer) for the boot menu to start as soon as your computer starts up. Select “boot” from DVD.
- Now follow the instructions as given and upgrade your windows. When prompted, enter the product key.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for further completing the installation.
- Welcome to the fully activated versions of windows.
Alternative Method
On your system, click “start.” Go to “settings,” “system,” and then “activation.”
You will be able to see whether you are using the home edition or pro one in addition to if you are activated under the activation state.
After clicking “Activation,” select “Change product key” and then enter it. Select “Next” to upgrade the windows.
