How to Download and update The Global Address List (GAL) in MS Outlook / O365 / 2016.

How to fix if Outlook Search is not working or fetching the email ID for existing user in outlook or domain.

  • In outlook Select Send/Received tab.
outlook is not able to search existing users in domain
  • Click on Send/Receive Groups drop down Icon.
choose the account from Send/Receive Groups in outlook
  • Select the Inbox you have issue in.
  • Select the option Download Address Book.
  • Update by clicking Send/Receive, selected account will start updating Global Address Book from server to your computer.
