How to fix corrupted recycle bin in MS Windows. Error ends with- Do you want to empty the Recycle Bin for this drive? This error is generally related to a corrupted recycle bin of Microsoft windows computer.
- Open My computer or This PC window
- Click on Organize on top left menu and Folder and Search options
- Open the Folder Options window
- Select View tab and check Hidden files folders and drives.
- Click apply and OK.
- This will display a hidden folder in C: drive as $Recycle.Bin.
- Right click on the $Recycle.Bin then rename it as Corrupt or any name of your choice.
- Then right click on the renamed folder and delete it from Drive.
- Refresh desktop and error will disappear.
Note: Rename the folder is necessary because if you will simply delete it, it will start throwing same error again and same folder will be placed back in C drive as hidden.
