Error while opening PDF from Internet Explorer (any version)

EPM error while opening PDF document

Adobe Acrobat Doesn’t Support IE’s Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM) while opening documents in internet explorer

Documents do not open from internet explorer because EPM is enabled

Either install latest version of Adobe Reader or disable EPM

EPM is enabled in adobe Preference settings as a result adobe reader opens with below error.

For Adobe Reader

• Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat Reader DC
• Choose Edit> Preferences or use keys (Ctrl + K)
• Select the option General from the list on the left
• Uncheck the option Enable Protected Mode at Startup

For Acrobat Reader DC

• Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat Reader DC
• Choose Edit> Preferences (Ctrl + K)
• Select the option Security Enhanced
• Uncheck the option Enable Protected Mode at Startup
