How to fix error while installing or updating Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobilty Client
The file ‘Manifest Tool.exe’ is not marked for installation
- To fix error while installing cisco VPN, uninstall the existing version of the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client from the computer if any.
- Edit the registry; launch the Registry Editor simply by typing “regedit” in the search window.

- If a dialogue box pops up displaying the following: “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?” Click Yes.
- Select the following location: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\

- Inside Products folder, locate and delete the registry key which contains the product information for Cisco AnyConnect ( WE RECOMMEND TO CREATE BACKUP OF REGISTRY KEY BEFORE DELETING IT)
- Go through each key in the Products folder until you find the one for Cisco AnyConnect. Note: you will see an “alphanumeric” key as Shown in image below. Different versions of cisco anyconnect vpn have different keys.

- Close the Registry Editor window and install the cisco anyconnect vpn.
