Delete Offline Files Cache using the GUI (Graphical user interface)

Open Registry editor.
Go to the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Csc\Parameters.

Find DWORD 32 bit to delete offline files from windows OS using Windows registry editor.

If Parameters does not exist under CSC then create a new node with that name.
In the Parameters node create a new registry value name it – FormatDatabase of type REG_DWORD.

Set the registry value to 1 as show in the image below.

Edit D-word value to 1 to delete offline files cache in Windows

Close all the windows then restart the computer.

Delete Offline Files Cache Using CLI (Command Line Interface)

Run the below command from elevated administrator command prompt. reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSe\Services\Csc\Parameters /v FormatDatabase /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /

NOTE: Using CLI is particularly for Windows 7 Operating System.
